Low Cost Flights Portugal

The Ireland low cost airline Aer Arann announced that they will expand their services with two new routes to Faro (FAO). The new services will come into effect on May 1st from Galway Airport and Waterford Airport and these flights will operate on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Commenting Managing Director Garry Cullen said:

Aer Arann’s success is grounded on having the right management to maintain our momentum.  2008 will be a very exciting time for the airline, with considerable effort focussed on our franchise routes to Amsterdam, Bordeaux, Malaga and Faro, and extending the Aer Arann footprint into Europe.”

Bmibaby has announced it will start one new route from Manchester Airport (MAN) to/from Lisbon (LIS) for the coming summer.
Bmibaby is the only airline flying to the Portugese capital from Manchester with one-way tickets starting from £24.99.

The new route to Lisbon takes off on June 17 and will operate on Tuesday and Sunday:

• From Manchester to Lisbon – departs 8.50am, arrives 11.50am (Tuesday and Sunday)
• From Lisbon to Manchester – departs 12.20pm, arrives 3.20pm (Tuesday and Sunday)

Clickair is now flying from Barcelona (BCN) to Lisbon (LIS) twice a day.
